A 24 year old is an ADULT. There are numerous shelters for adults as well as many organizations to assist homeless adults. At this point in your life, you should have completed your education, have a job, and be able to find your own place to live. It's hard, but not impossible. And for all you haters out there, I worked for Covenant House and in a MICA (Mentally ill Chemically Addicted) Shelter. I've also been homeless.
Okay well I'm 20 im a cna/Lpn did that in two years and 1/2 . Graduated highschool and I'm I'm homless stuck struggling trying to figure it out making more than you on a average since it always about that @ MR Keith got it going on never struggled I'm an adult . You can have it all one day lose it all the next don't talk to soon .... someone struggle you look down might just become yours
@keith u need to stop it ! Everyone doesn’t have it together and some people need help! That’s not looking for a handout!
Well stated Keith Goodson. Because after 21 you are considered an adult. Even if you was in foster care you would have left the nest by 21. The city and state is no longer your guidance step up and get in shape because it's time to make changes and do for yourself now.
There’s isn’t any lgbtq homeless shelter for adults instead they want transman to go to a cis mens shelter!! I don’t feel safe
Every shelter/program has specialities or guidelines on who they help... be that age, gender... some shelters specifically designed just for LGBT folks... there are some that go to 24... just have to find them. I believe Ali Forney (lgbtq teen shelter) goes to 24.
The target population when the program was established was for youth between the ages is 28 and 21. After 21 you can go to adult shelter
