All shop's and restaurants are very close to each other. The town is fairly small. My mom has a very hard time walking also. And she loves going there because everything is so close.

Jackson has many art galleries and museums, most are free. There is unique shopping in Jackson. There is a beautiful city park. The food is incredible. The wildlife and scenery are incredible. If you've never been to Jackson Hole and the weather is one of those beautiful September days, it will be a visit to remember forever. Have a great time. Our anniversary is in October and we go every year.

Only walking to the shops and the park (small). Jackson Hole is nice but nothing special. Just a dmall town.

The bus is free only in Jackson, I would take the trams up the mountain. You can rent wheelchairs at the Jackson hole resort. That area is more for outdoor type of people unless you do the tours. Also be careful, it does start to snow as early as September there.
