They do talk. The only thing I've seen them upsell is the oil. Regular or the more expensive synthetics. Synthetics are good. Items like air filters both engine and cabin have to be dirty. They show them to you. Take a minute and read the maintenance schedule in your owners manual. I take two different cars for all fluid maintenance. It is cheaper than any dealer price. If you feel like they are going too fast ask them to slow down and have your owners manual in hand. You'll find that what they suggest usually always reflects the suggested maintenance schedule in your manual. All the other banter in the shop is so they know they have completed everything correctly and it aids them in faster servicing of customers cars.
I've been there many times, you have to tell them, when you get there just a regular oil change about $40 and then use the online coupon wich drops it down to 30 something
They do go over everything with your vehicle. I would rather them talk and tell me what they are doing than not say one word and then have to pay $100. I would want to know what I am paying for lol
