Smaller sized aquarium but perfect for little ones! Our three year old and 10 month old absolutely loved it! Prices weren't too high and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed that the kids area upstairs was closed, but hopefully next time it will be. Highly recommend checking it out! We had no idea they have the butterfly encloser and it was such a pleasant surprise!

This place is beautiful and informative and there's so much to see. It's easy to park in the garage across the street. When we went there was an outdoor butterfly house. Theres a large area upstairs for smaller kids to run around and play with more sensory toys in a controlled environment. My favorite are the three sea turtles! It's also very clean and the gift shop is very nice. Love it!

This is a awesome aquarium! It’s on the smaller side, but my family spent 2 hours looking around. The stingray tank is one of the best touch pools I’ve experienced, they’re very well taken care of. It’s only $3 to feed them too! This aquarium is probably best for families with young children, but it was still enjoyable as an adult. I appreciate all the love for the seals as well! It’s a great exhibit. My favorite part was all of the octopuses, all three were pretty active. I got lots of great pictures. The gift shop is also pretty affordable compared to other zoos/aquariums!

I live in Norwalk and have a long history at the Maritime Aquarium! Words cannot describe how much I love and appreciate this place. I love the staff, the volunteers and most of all, the beautiful animals they have. A big highlight is being able to touch the stingrays and tiger sharks! Soooo fun! Definitely a must see place in the North East!

You can renew your membership by mail when they send you a renewal packet, or you can renew at the Membership desk as you enter the Aquarium.
It is around $23 for adults. Cinema and cruise are extra. Parking is also extra
The parking for the aquarium is across the street so there will be a short walk outside to get to the main or IMAX entrances. There are also some outside play spaces for kids, and a seasonal exhibit space in the gardens towards the river (this has hosted their butterfly exhibit, and recently the return of the flamingos). This space also has part of the seal enclosure open to the elements. All of the rest of the aquarium is inside.

Yes, there is an affordable parking lot across the street. I think we paid like $6 something for 3 hours.
Adults under 65 are $27. Kids (3 - 12) are $19 and seniors are $24.
Hi Marissa. We do not currently offer one day volunteering programs at The Maritime Aquarium.
