You have to have a valid DOD ID card; active duty, retired, and DOD civilians. VA ID is not a valid DOD ID card. A DD214 is not a valid ID either.
Was just there in July 2018 and they will check if you have a Military ID card, for Eligibility. Veteran, ONLY if you are a 100% Disabled Veteran with a Military ID card.
Active Duty, Retired or 100% disabled and all require military ID. You could Google them and to see if there are any other exceptions but I don't think so.
Their desk said no to just being a vet.
