The hotel is beautiful, we enjoyed the open, outdoor feel of Jack's restaurant. Everything we ate at Jack's was delicious. The servers were friendly and helpful. Checking in went smoothly. The clerks were pleasant and helpful. Our rooms were equally beautiful with adequate lighting, excellent WiFi, and we appreciated the cable connections on the desk and near the beds. We enjoyed the amenities in the room and bathroom. Our one suggestion is that we needed a comfortable chair in the room. The short couch was very uncomfortable, so not even usable. Otherwise our visit was perfect.

We chose the Portola for our first anniversary get away, and we're so glad we did! Gracious accommodations, exceptional service, and wonderful location on the bay all made for a fabulous trip. We couldn't have asked for better - except for just being able to stay longer!

This place is unique. The layout is a maze. The rooms are nice and so is the staff. The restaurant/ sports bar attached was poor for food. Some rooms are extremely noisy because of hotel staff and services. I was awaken at 5:00 am for clean up
