The photo down stairs is 12 usd but you need to have atleast one that is authorized
The photo must meet passport requirements. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional and will let you know if your photo is ok. If it is not, there is a photographer a floor or 2 down from the consulate that does professional passport photos for around $20 USD.
