is a quitclaim deed valid with claim that it was given as a gift even though I did not write or sign it was a gift on the doc.. My spouse was the one who signed in the box and wrote it was a gift. I believe I signed the quitclaim deed under duress?

Hi, thanks for the question. Unfortunately no one at the law library is able to answer the kind of specific questions you are asking. You may want to come in and do some research on transfers of real estate and/or marital property law, but ultimately you will probably need to hire an attorney to help you understand your rights.

An answer to this question requires rendering legal advice which I am not licensed to do. There are also some missing facts which you will need to tell an attorney. It sounds like you and your husband conveyed the property to a third person. Was the quit claim notarized and recorded? How long ago did it happen? Just a start with the questions.
