They do trade ins and it needs to be evaluated by a rep. Prices are subject to change and also keep in mind they are a cellphone company that sells service which means they don't have to do just a straight trade there may be a purchase required.

You would have to check with the store that you got it from. They are all different. Was it a Verizon company store or an authorized sales store? They are different. But usually if they tell you something, they stand behind it.
