Im coming from upstate n.y. and am homeless. I also have cancer. Ive been battling it for 2 years now and hopefully the Lord will continue to sustain me. Is there a chance to get into a program you may offer?

Hi Tony, first I want to say my thoughts and prayers are with you, I wish you a speedy recovery. Now to answer your question, New York City Bellevue Hospital has access to more programs that can serve and meet your needs. The hospital social workers are better equipped to help you in comparison to New York City Rescue Mission, don't get me wrong, the New York City Rescue Mission does a wonderful job of assisting those in dire need of help, but Bellevue would be better fit to provide you with assistance that is specific to your current needs.

Yes stop by 90 Lafayette and they would be more than happy to help you.

Thx you for ur answer but I am not critical. I don't need emergency services but a place to stay and join a program. What will Bellview do?

You are welcome to go to Bellevue Hospital Emergency Room @ 28th and 1st Ave. They can help you better. Good luck!
