I don't know what beach Melinda speaks of...but there is a swimming area next to the boat launch ramp...Danny is right, the road left of the office leads to the river. There is also a launch ramp at the headwaters swim area. Kayaking rentals are also available at the Ranger Station/camping office. Takes little over an hour to paddle to the headwaters (against the current) from the campground launch. Have fun...hope to have an underwater camera. ... if some of these answers are confusing is because there's a separate parking lot and kayak launch at the headwaters which is a considerable distance from Rainbow Springs Campground
I went tubing but i would call its certainly worth spending a day there. So beautiful the area and wildlife. Just watch out for low flying ducks lol...really
When you get inside of the park theres a spot that you can launch the kayak. There is not access inside the park with a vehicle so you need to carry the kayak about half of a mile. Worth it thought :)
The campground to the left behind the checkin building also has a boat ramp
