Yes there is Gators / 15 ft and yes there are venomous snakes .what is it that you would like to know about the snakes and Gator s ?
I have seen a few snakes in the area, however they are usually way more afraid of humans. Steer clear of them and they will not harm you. I haven't seen any gators in all my visits to Rainbow however, I recommend a similar tactic. If you see one, alert others and get away from it.
They are their but if keep you eyes open they are more scared of us you be fine been going for since my son was four and he comes with us he 12 now
Saw one 4-5 ft non-poisonous snake in the park right behind the dock. Just hanging out not bothering anyone. The adults were keeping the kids from bothering the snake and the snake basically stayed wrapped around it's branch for the day. Saw a 2-3 ft gator and a few snakes on the river the next day off to the wild side of the river. Gator wise, they don't particularly bother me at that size - however, with my 5 year old with me I am hyper conscious to keep a good distance of any dangerous wildlife. In any case, the gator was just sunning as we passed by in both directions. They are there, always are, just try to spot them before you are on top of them, keep a solid distance and have a plan if you need to deal with them or increase your distance /get to shore quickly. What was comforting to me is hundreds of people drift down the river in tubes during a busy weekend. No one I came across seemed overly concerned or had a bad experience with the wildlife. Hope this helps.
