If you have a campsite at the state park, river access is free. There is a small swimming area by the kayak launch. People snorkel the entire length of the river with exception of the top area at the head springs. So you can swim wherever you kayak/canoe. Tubing is closed for the season.
Swimming is on the other side of the park on Hwy 41.

If you have a camp site the river should be free access already...the 2$ fee is for daily visitors..you rented the camp ground so river is included and im 99% sure of that
After you pay $2.00 per person on the state park, you have access to a big natural pool that's connected to the river (technically spring river). You can rent kayaks or padle boards or you can bring yours (I believe) the tubing is just on the weekend...
