We are looking for an outdoors spot for our anniversary at the end of August. Any precautions we should be advised of? Weather is always a factor around that time with hurricanes but besides that, is everything open and still equally as enjoyable?

It depends private or public private the plantation inn seemed beatiful but i would recommend calling chamber of commerce for a reliable venue price and quality wise and florida weather is unpredictable

Just warning you, there is NO PLACE TO STAND once you're in the water at the swimming hole. And the swimming hole is not that big of an area.
