Why would you drive a few hours to go to Maverick? Especially if you don't know their hours or otherwise? But, no, they do not take appointments for exams. Fridays and Mondays are typically their busiest days. Good luck, and please keep your pets safe and secure on road trips... With seatbelts, and water, and pickup bags, and of course leashes, and/or crates to transport. Treat them as if they were human babies that are required to be properly secured.. They are a most precious cargo. Have a safe journey to and fro... And rather than traveling 3+ hours, maybe you will find an experienced vet near home, though I am sure you have your reasons for traveling so far just to get them checked out. The reason I mention this, if you live in Tallahassee, it would behoove you to have a family doctor for your pets, which is in your neighborhood, who can be more familiar with your animals, as well as being close to home, especially for more urgent needs. Good luck to you.

Sign in sheet goes out at 7am for morning visits and it goes back out at noon when they go to lunch and as long as you come back by 9am in morning and 2pm in afternoon you will be seen as what number you are on the a list. Call first three and there after call back new as each animal is taken care of it moves pretty quickly. Just remember when the lists go out and try to be there then or a little earlier so you can get as close to the top of the list as you can and you can leave then but make sure you come back just before 9am or 2pm because if they call your name and you don't answer you go to bottom of the list. A little patience is all that's required for great people and reasonable prices. It's in an older building so to some it may look a little shabby but I can tell you they take great care and they keep the place very clean. Spilled a few drops of urine sample I brought to be tested and they immediately cleaned and disinfected that spot on the floor.

I would definitely suggest you get there early to make sure they are seen. Or be there when they go to lunch and sign in and wait for them to reopen after lunch at 2pm. That's a long way to come for your dogs shots. I understand they are reasonable and all. But they don't take appointments and its as you sign in only. They close right at 5pm on Fridays. Monday and Fridays are the busiest days as well. For what it is gonna cost you to bring them to Maverick even though they are reasonable I'd find a vet in the area as there has to be one reasonable in the area as well. Good luck!!! Also if your not there and signed in and they get so many people and animals to treat they do lock the door after so many. Just for your FYI!!! There are one or two days they have extended hours as well. But Monday and Fridays are the worst days as so so busy. I live not far from there and drive by and see how busy they are some days. Good luck!!!
