How do I know if my windshield can be repaired or if I need to have it replaced. My insurance company is asking and I am not sure what to tell them.

Chips can USUALLY get fixed. Cracks are different. If they are smaller than a dollar, maybe... maybe, you can get it fixed. Anything else, have one of the Safelite guys take a look... they are honest.

Less than the width of a dollar bill can be repaired. Any bigger it's a replacement.
