Im not sure what the question is but what i do know about the bakersfield homeless shelter is this. If you abide by their rules and put up with living with a bunch of other people, it is unbelievable the help they will give. They get you section eight for the rest of your life. They can get you into homeless court which takes away ALL of your fines if you have any. They give you funtiture when you get your own place they help remove any evictions or pg and e bills you may owe. They also can give you a job. The jobs they offer can lead to much better jobs if you are a hard worker. They also offer free daycare if you are working. Of course they dont want any sick people there . They are not a hospital. Elderly should go to nursing homes and mentally ill to Mary Kay Shell. There is a place for everyone
I was unable to work. They were awesome helping get back on my feet.
The shelter has ways of doing things. They want to know that you're willing to help yourself. There are a lot of homeless all over the place but the shelter takes in who they can and who is willing to cooperate with their rules and how they do things. Be willing to do the chores/volunteer work that are assigned to you, pass a drug test and don't be confrontational in any way with staff or residents. If you aren't approved to stay there they still serve meals. They have to consider everyone there and everyone trying to get in. Everyone is treated equally. A mother with a small child has to meet the same requirements as an individual coming in alone. Somewhere with so many residents or potential residents won't and can't show any kind of special treatment or consideration to anyone.
I am not first aid certificated person however i assume that bakersfield homeless center did their works for helping sick people
If u don't follow the rules ur not going to be accepted
