You can walk in, but the staff will have to call an ambulance and they will take you to kaiser which is 0.2 miles away, they will evaluate you there and medically clear you, then send you back to Sierra Vista. I am 100% positive of this process, and it is the same at all of the behavioral hospitals in the area. I am an EMT that has performed a large amount of these types of transports
I think you need a eval first at the ER
What time are visiting hours?
If no Series medical conditions are presented IE: High Blood Pressure or Irregular Vitals and not other history of medical issue, they will not need to send out for medical clearance.
