Just found a pigeon in a busy road. When I approached it tried to fly but only made it a foot off the ground. Gonna bring him in tomorrow but how do I best care for him until then. I have him in a cage with towels and a small container of water.

You might want to call Lakeside first because I dont think pigeons are Missouri native birds. They only take Missouri native animals but they might be able to tell you what to do.

If they don't take it, look online for rescue services for pigeons, or Craigslist. I rescued a starling baby, they wouldn't take it, not indigenous to MO but I found an individual that wanted it. Also you can look up what to feed. It's awesome that your trying to help it!, not everyone will.

Thank you I wouldn't have thought of that.
