Same owners. Radically different. The cafe is more basic cajun and a little cheaper. Pierres is more upscale and imho better food. Fried green tomatoes are excellent. Cafe is on decatur. Pierres is chartres i think. Both are part of creole cuisine which also includes royal house, bombay club, kingfish, bayou burger and more.

Yes, one nearer the river. They are both pretty good. The one across from Napoleon House is smaller, but, serves "fancier" food.

There's a Cafe Maspero's, I think. Not sure of they are part of the same group. Otherwise, not sure if there are 2 Pierre Maspero's. Sorry I'm not more help.
