My license came back as not real ID. It was supposed to be a real ID. How can I change this.

You will need to either go online or to the DMV in person and see what the document requirements are for getting a “Real ID” issued to you, and then go to the DMV with those documents. If you had previously been to the DMV with the required documents and the DMV issued you a non “Real ID” license in error, then I would go back to the DMV and notify them of their mistake and have them correct it.

you need to apply for a passport. that is considered "real" identification. or any other federally issued ID. military or clearance to work on a base as a contractor. that kind of stuff.
