I've rented on several occasions and have never experienced that problem always from the FLL location. They actually check the gas right in from of you there. It has to be on full or over upon return, not close but on full the way it was during pickup. They actually tell you right on the contract that they going to rip you a new one with their own set of gas prices if it's not up to par!
I can't believe that, they check car immediately when you are still there...never had any problems with them. Now days easy to make pictures on your phone, i document condition at pickup and at return.
Budget in FLL is the worse place to get a car rental it's ridiculous...I dropped off my car on a Saturday before my flight and was never checked in til that Monday and make it so bad charged me the two extra day and insurance...Had the audacity and said I dropped off that Monday so they had to look at camera footage and of course got my money but worse place ever...Even told me about gas prices to which I have receipts for...worse experience other local stores okay but the airport get there early and don't leave without a receipt period
