Had a great experience renting a car from them! Process was very simple & the car was new and in good shape.

Please don’t waste your time and money renting from this location. Cars are always dirty and ran down rented a vehicle with almost 85,000 miles for a out of town trip which is terrible. Last rental was on 8/25/22 checked out by Diana who has a dry attitude showed no willingness to help. Arrive to book rental she claimed they were sold out but proceeds to try and book a rental for me for only SUV’s when I went online to book at a lower price was told I couldn’t even though SUV’s were available online. Her and the Hispanic lady with the blonde hair was so rude and nonchalant needs better training or supervision.

Helpful, fast and easy (but not cheap) car rental.

They suck. I really hope everyone reads the reviews before they rent with these fools. #ripoff I always use sixt when I rent car now.
AVOID, You will have nothing but issues and will not be able to get help...they don't care and when you do have your problem, you will waste hours to no avail.
The same with us! *DON'T RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE* they are all crooks! Miami or Ft Lauderdale, both CROOKED TO THE CORE!!
They are very forceful to buy all there addons, was super annoying but just told them I wasnt interested time and time again. They just want your money, they get an incentive if you pay for insurance and toll etc.
Their HQ office in California is actually operated by humans. They might be able to answer your questions. But I wouldn't reccomend dealing with FOX Rent-A-Car
I didn't wait for long, to be honest. It was pretty quick. The staff wasn't rude to me either. But the company policies are designed to draw you in with low fare offers and then they spring the nickles and dime game. When the rep told me that they had a mid sized car waiting for me, I was surprised because I wanted the fuel efficiency of a compact or smaller. To my surprise, their idea of a mid sized car is a Kia Soul. That's false advertising of there ever was a case of it. These guys are crooks, plain and simple. If I wasn't already running late I would have walked away but I needed a car right away and so I took one for the team. I didn't trust them and half expected them to hide some fault and then blame me for it afterwards. I was seriously nervous the whole time and was more than happy to takethe car back the following day. Never again. These guys need to be put out of business.
They did charge me another whole day rental fee for bringing the car in one hour beyond the return time
Yes...there were hidden fees not explained during the online booking process...when we went to get the car at the pre arranged pickup time it was about an hour wait before a car was returned so we could get it...even though we booked 2 months in advance they wanted to add pre paid toll charges to travel on the FL turnpike...after some arguing stating we were going to avoid the FL turnpike did they reverse that fee...be carefully also with using your credit card because they block off like $600 hold on the card which isn't freed up until weeks later...learned that the hard way as it shut down all my spending $ for vaca...
Probably but your best bet is to call and confirm because they are offsite.
I talked with them at their 800 number and they removed the charge. But I had no toll charges accrued. Does not hurt to try.
YES, at airport locations.
They have a shuttle service. Not in walking distance. It's to the left of the rental car garage. Just follow the signs
You probably could. Call them up for drop off locations. I rented from fort Lauderdale and dropped it in Orlando close to the airport.
I know absolutely nothing about that aspect
Good luck...I had the same problem a few weeks ago...there's a reason Enterprise is my preferred option over these folks ...one & done with Fox, never again for me as well
Yes. It goes from all terminals to the rental car center where Fox is located. If you arrive at terminal 1 you can walk directly to the rental car center.
Too few people working the front counter...
The car rental location is directly across from the terminals. Shuttle from Arrival area should be able to take you over.
We used our own insurance and navigated away from toll roads LOL!
Prepaid for tolls. Didn't go through 1. Such a waste
Some of them are not open 24hrs it depends on the company a few of them we have rented from close at 1am or adter last flight and open at 6am
I've never had an issue. Even changed car, no problems
Yes. They are not doing honest business. I would avoid them.
Yeah they do that but the price they show you while booking is basic and when you add insurance or toll or whatever they charge you for each of those items... And I think there's no way you'd want a car without the most basic add-ons they charge for lol
I couldn't even find their shuttle hahah, and they never have the car you reserve 😤
I don't think so, pretty sure it just runs to the airport every few mins but you can take an Uber
Don't really know cause i got a taxi from the port 2 the rental car business
Fox's instructions: Upon arrival at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, please proceed to the ground floor or baggage claim area. If you arrive in Terminal 1, follow the signs to Rental Car Center. Once you enter the Rental Car Center there is a sign for Off Site Rental Car and County Bus #7 , proceed to the right, go up the escalator and walk outside to Bus Stop 7, board the Fox Rent A Car Shuttle for a short ride to the Fox Fort Lauderdale location. If you arrive in terminals 2, 3 or 4, follow the signs for the Rental Car Center and Rental Car Shuttle outside to board the shuttle. The shuttle will take you to the Rental Car Center. Once you exit the shuttle, walk to the right to Bus Stop #7 and board the Fox Rent A Car Shuttle for a short ride to the Fox Fort Lauderdale location.
Yes, Fox does provide transportation to and from the airport. Go to Rental Cars, follow signs to location information for other rental lots which will direct you to go to the third floor. Walk outside to pick up areas. The area is to your left at the far end. Call the 800 number or wait for the next shuttle.
o
Drop off was fast as stated by everyone. So was the shuttle if you lucky enough as I was you would find it as you dropped off your car . Shuttle dropped passengers in groups depending what airline you flying. All I had to do was get inside the terminal to get to jetblue on lower level.
U must purchase it
What is the question?
They charge you the amount for the rental and they take a deposit at the same time. Then when you returned the car they will return your deposit back into your account.
Isn't that quite common? That happened to me a few years back at Sixt though I believe it was just 300$.
I had to give a 500 dollar deposit cause i did not have a credit card and 400 was returned back to me when i was done - total charge for a week was a little less then 200.
Ask them... And never buy gas from them, just hit one of the dozen stations along Biscayne
You don't want to rent from them, they charge more then they quote you at, don't get the vehicle you reserved
No matter what the reviews say i rent from them a lot all over, very cust service oriented
If you haven't booked yet just go with a different company. Do your research, they have been investigated by the attorney general and lost multiple times for scamming customers.
I had the same experience with another company. Insurance paid $1,300 for a tiny dent. The rental company wanted another $1,000 for cost not covered by insurance, like 11 days kostvrental, lost value, and an admin fee. I ignored. So far nothing. I talked with insurance professionals. They agreed it is an exploitative scam.
It is true that we have to improve the home but hey I was there at the end of night service and more with a problem of cb where it was necessary to cash bail more rental when the rental was already paid. But I confirm the rates are very good.
Yes you can. And of course, there is a surcharge for that
I have rented two times from them and both times have been a very nice experience. No complaints at all. The clerk was very helpful and courteous
I agree they lie and charge u more than they tell uno I didn't I just told them no I have my own insurance
I am not sure, don't live in the area. You may want to call them. Good luck and be safe in that area in this storm
Honestly, this is a horrible place to rent from. I would stay away from this place. The fees quoted are not what you'll pay for when you get there. They will require you to add several other items to your rental agreement. I had a really bad experience with them. When I checked the reviews, they were all bad and experienced the same as I did.
No. Parking not allowed inside gated lot. Drivers normally park their cars on the outside / besides gate usually with two Drivers or Airport / Hotel shuttle.
