No, Broward County Animal Care is part of Broward County government and is funded by tax dollars. In addtion to providing pets for adoption, we also regulate the County's pet laws. The Humane Society of Broward County is a non-profit organization, funded through donations.

No, the humane society is in the same area as them though. When I was looking for a kitten, this place had way more animals to choose from than the humane society.
