Their 'standard' is one week so they can get all the insurance benefits! This place is awful. It's a JAIL.

According to them its 7-10 days. I was brought there inv. and my parents went to COURT to get me out. They held me there for 5 days even though I was doing fine. ITS ALL FOR THE MONEY in that place. Its disgusting. There was FUNGUS in the SHOWER and there was a smell coming out of the vents like mold. The halls and day room smelt like urine. ITS LITTERALLY HELL. My parents couldnt even get a call in to the place. They were giving me and other kids medication with us even seeing the doctor. The doctor or physiatrist was awful, all she asked was "how are you?" and "why are you here?" "good...good... okay you can go back to the day room" DONT GO THERE!!!!

Varies. Depends on their situation. Some overnight. Some long term (months).

If self admitted, the usual minimum stay is 72 hours. If IVC (involuntary) then the usual is 7-10 days but it can go much longer. The good side is they have to show a judge why they think the patient needs to remain there. It's not just up to one staff member who you may dislike. My son was IVC and released after 7 days. The first day does NOT count. The first day is considered "orientation day" regardless of the time you get there.
