My father was buried there in February of 2021. Covid made things hard but all went great the help of the personnel and sticking to the policies in effect made all go easy. Really like the way the facility looks and is kept up. Thank you to the care keepers.

Our family buried our Marine brother last week after his sudden death at a young age. Upon arrival at the burial site, a majority of our family was locked out of the cemetery (due to COVID restrictions) and the rest of us were treated in a very aggressive and non-compassionate way by the blonde woman (Judy) who met us at the site (we assume she is the superintendent ?). We were well aware of the constraints (due to COVID), but we were shocked and saddened to be told “You should be grateful we let you come this close”, and other non-compassionate communication. It’s clear this woman needs training in dealing with the public and grieving families. She even walked over and stood by our brothers grave while they buried him, while we (6 people only) were forced to stand behind a barrier - at least let us come as far as she was able to go ! This was handled very badly and we will never forget it. After she left the site, the gentlemen handling the tractor let us trudge through the 3 inch deep mud to say goodbye to him one last time - thank God for him.

We had a small, military ceremony here today. Unfortunately, we did not coordinate with the Cemetery directly, and on the day of the event, they were not expecting us. Regardless, they quickly sprung into action and assisted us with our Ceremony. They coordinated the lawn maintenance to cease for the moment and assisted our guests to ensure the ceremony was the center of attention, not our incident of poor planning. Thank you Coastal Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery Staff, for working with us today and permitting our Ceremony, making it a success in Honoring our Marine, Family, and Friend. RIP SSgt J. W. Carr.
