If you are asking if they are the ones that do the aerial spraying for mosquitoes, that is handeled by the Air Force. Other than that New River is a helicopter/tilt-rotator air base so the answer is no.

It's my understanding from a friend there is a hotel I don't believe it is a commercial one. Not sure about reservations.

Yes and no. No you cannot if you’re going to pick up someone inside the base. Yes if you already have a passenger with military ID to go inside the base to drop them off at the respective location.
