Gwen, we’re sorry to hear you’ve experienced down time. We normally have over 99% up time of our systems. There was one recent incident for Online Banking, and Stanford University had two power outages that impacted our on-campus branches, but these incidents are very rare!
Yes, they participate and can transfer/deposit to other credit unions. However, be prepared that their system is "down" more often than it's "up and running". I've had many a wasted trip and have had to return for my transactions. Even Stanford admits they have a problem with their system.
