Brought my husband in as he hadn’t been able to swallow without spitting up or throwing up for 8 hours. After 3 hours, there was literally nobody there. A nurse came in and gave him her thoughts but there was no IV to help make sure he didn’t lose too much water, no call button in case he had any severe issues, no update on when a doctor would be available. I’m fact it’s was a ghost town! I go to Stanford for a lot of things, the ER will never again be one of them.
