We went today (Jan 2 2019) and it was open,
Its October 2018 and its still closed. From what I heard it has ectensive damage do to hurricane irma. Not sure. A lot of conspiracy theories of a lucknest monster cover up.
What happened to it? That trail was awesome! A bit sketchy with the amount of gators that were on the sides at times but definitely a little rush!
It wasn't last weekend when we were there but there were plenty off gators around.
They have a Facebook page. Then you can keep up to date. But as of January it was closed and they weren't sure when it was going to open.
I thought it would be open in the early fall.
It is not and I don't think it will be due to cost of repair.
