We are a group of photographers who would like to visit Lakeland area near the end of October. Question: is there much animal/bird activity at that time of year?

I personally haven’t visited this park in October. It really depends on if any of the trails are closed. Usually due to flooding. Guarantee you’ll see some native birds.

I've been in February and June (sorry, not in October). I can say that there was a lot of active wildlife in February. June was brutally hot, so there was much less activity and we couldn't bear to stay as long as when we went in February. I would think October would be a good time to visit, but I can't say based on actual experience.
