Universal pays Marvel for rights. Disney owns rights, so universal pays Disney.
Disney has chosen to honor the contract that Islands of Adventure already has. When it's up then they will have to stop use of the Marvel Universe.
Hello! Universal/Comcast has rights to anything 2009 and back I do believe. They can keep all of the rides, and merch. Just can't have anything new.
