BARCS does not take animals. They are a rescue, shelter, and adoption agency. In addition, they are also no kill, unless euthanasia is medically necessary and in the best interest of the animal. I have never found BARCS to be rude. Ever! Even after Animal Control was called by my abusive landlord who lied and said my cats were abandoned when I was unexpectedly hospitalized after going to the emergency department. I had not yet been gone 24 hours, but since Animal Control couldn't reach me, my cats were impounded and taken to BARCS for shelter and adoption if I failed to be able to get them back in the prescribed time. Not only did BARCS take excellent care of my babies, even providing medical care to my boy's paw as he broke 2 claw nails in transit from my residence to them; they even waived all fees except for the licensing fee required by law. They even provided medicine for me to take home to treat my boy's paw & pellet litter because it was necessary while the paw healed. <3
