You can have a great day eating, drinking and shopping. Many street performances and a lot of sights. No need to ride the rides to have fun, and that's saying a lot.

jacob hanson | Feb 10, 2022

I'd agree that both universal parks have plenty to keep one occupied and entertained without ever stepping foot on a ride

Todd Sanders | Feb 10, 2022

I don't ride all the rides and still have a very good time I love two people watch and sit and have a drink on the bench for lots of entertainment

Dyssen Mendoza | Feb 10, 2022

It's fun with or without

william Hibshman | Mar 12, 2022

There is lots to see. Lots to do. Take plenty of money!

grandmasasha rivera | Feb 10, 2022

No you don't but you should ride certain that are not a scary ride more of an experience

Brad Breaux | Feb 10, 2022

No, I go sometimes just to eat or check our parades if they have them.

Nicole Norman | Feb 10, 2022

No need to ride rides to enjoy the park. Tons of scenery and e Joyable shops and sets to walk through

Alexandre Anton | Feb 10, 2022

No, they have a lot of different kind of attractions that will keep u and your family busy, one for example are the horror show, and other shows they have, and some part of the day they have some presentations in the middle of the streets, when u see u spent all your day enjoying something different than going to rides

Jake Crowding | Mar 12, 2022

No. There is plenty to do. Be prepared to do A LOT of walking though.

Kelly Curtiss | Mar 12, 2022

Not at all! I would say that I rude the rides only about 10-15%of the time. It's just a great place to walk around and so much more to enjoy!

Anne Miller (Chefanne) | Mar 12, 2022

I don't ride many rides. There is plenty to do without riding the rides. I do think that Islands of Adventure has more for those who don't do rides.

Yancy Raymond | Mar 12, 2022

No you can stay busy all day

John Davies | Mar 12, 2022

Absolutely not we rarely go on the rides. Just love the ambience and meeting people. The team members are fantastic.

Istym Kralc | Mar 12, 2022

nope

QuietOne InAtl | Mar 12, 2022

I'm older and I find some rides I can still do really easy (such as the MIB and the Dr. Seuss Train). The train ride from Harry Potter than takes you between Uinversal Studios and Islands of Adventure is for good for all ages. Spiderman and Fast and Furious may be a little jerky for some. But overall, there are plenty of shows and other things to do that will keep you entertained. The Horror Make Up show is more comedy than actually special effects make-up, there is special outside show with Dr. Seuss characters, an animal training show, a couple Harry Potter themed presentations with singing and dancing, and a short Marilyn Monroe singing show too. I'm sure there is more but these are the ones I remember. For the next month or so they are also having a Mardi Gra themed parade and concerts on weekends..I think Diana Ross is scheduled this weekend.

Corey Pettine | Mar 12, 2022

There are definitely lots of great rides to enjoy. But if you're not into rides, you can still have an enjoyable time eating, drinking, shopping, attending shows and performances, and watching parades. You can also enjoy the immersion of the parks and checking out the scenery.

Awesumm Bolden | Mar 12, 2022

Not at all! There are plenty of beautiful sights, character sightings and shows that you can enjoy without leaving the ground or being on a type of simulation ride.

Xander Westwood | Mar 12, 2022

I am not a ride person at ALL. It is immersive, lots of shows you can enjoy around the park. If your not riding though, I at least couldn't help myself but eat, drink and shop whole family waited in line. I spent more than my family but I had just as much fun (if not more). The weekend end of night water show was neat. But not a reason to spend the extra $$ to come on a weekend.

DeeAnn Becker | Mar 12, 2022

Absolutely not. There is so much else to see and do. Especially if u r a Harry Potter fan.

Tracy Dillard | Mar 12, 2022

You do not have to ride to have a great time. The park has great food and attractions!

Gina Cavanna | Mar 12, 2022

No. A great place to see and experience without rides. Mardi Gras parade was fantastic!!

Lisa Linsenmayer | Mar 12, 2022

No need to ride rides at all. Lots to see and do especially in the Harry Potter area. Love to see people dress up in house colors - and not just children - adults dress up as Arthur and Molly Weasley and Dumbledore!!

Marisela Keller | Mar 12, 2022

Not really! The food and events along are great to enjoy the day. If you are a Harry Potter fan it's even better

Mark Chin | Mar 12, 2022

Great shows and entertainment over and above the rides

Erika Hagarty | Mar 12, 2022

Absolutely not! I visit quite often without riding anything. There's plenty of cool things to enjoy especially if there's something going on like Mardi Gras or the holidays.

Gilfredo Oquendo | Mar 12, 2022

Yuo still can have the most amazing time just by walking enjoy the shows there's so much you can do without getting on the rides you will still have the ride of your life

Vilma Franco | Mar 12, 2022

No, there's plenty to do without having to step a foot on a ride.

peggy Brennan | Mar 12, 2022

Not at all, enjoy the fun

Maria Davis | Mar 12, 2022

No

J. De Alegria | Mar 12, 2022

Not at all; the parades are fun to watch. The park has a lot of enjoyable shops and restaurants. My recommendations are the Simpsons and Harry Potter areas. 😉

Christina Collandra | Mar 12, 2022

Nope! Especially Harry Potter sections are so well themed you'll have fun just hanging out!

cecymania | Mar 12, 2022

Not necessarily because they do have shows you can enjoy. Good food and shopping. Rides help but you can still enjoy it without riding.

Russ Carrier | Feb 10, 2022

IMO, the park has nice scenery, but WDW does that better. Universal has more and better thrill rides. If you don't care about Harry Potter, and don't like rides, you may not enjoy Universal so much.

Wolf Girl | Feb 10, 2022

No, you can shop, eat or just enjoy all the different scenes

Dina Arguinzoni | Feb 10, 2022

No but it's included in the price

G. la Belles-Lettre | Feb 10, 2022

Not as many shows as Disney, but definitely check out Borne Stunt show, the Horror Makeup show and the parades. Also, Minions you don't have to "ride." They have stationary seats in the front.

Ahmed Youssef Ahmed | Feb 10, 2022

Yes, mostly it's the funny part of the park

Chery boo | Feb 10, 2022

No. But you must stop at Bubba Gump shrimp to eat . It's wonderful and the price is right. But to eat and drink inside universal is expensive.

Paul McCumbers | Feb 10, 2022

There are many areas of the park that are theme oriented, so its not necessary to ride the rides to have a good experience.

Danielle Gasperson | Feb 10, 2022

You can have a great day shopping and eating also

RogueOne | Feb 10, 2022

Absolutely not. Its just as nice to go, grab a coffee, people watch, walk the parks and just relax and enjoy your day. I do it almost every day..

Sandra Rivera | Feb 10, 2022

Not necessarily

Rexstick Adventures | Feb 10, 2022

Just enjoy the atmosphere. It's relaxing

D rose | Feb 10, 2022

No there's is plenty to do...games..restaurants ..the different themed shops..

Austynne Blaine | Feb 10, 2022

No. There is alot to do other than rides

Hottie Lolly's World | Feb 10, 2022

Not really.

Colleen McCarthy | Feb 10, 2022

For us yes, we traveled 18 hours for an amazing amusement park. This was the same as six flags in NJ. Hardly any character meets, lots of shows canceled

Derisa Welch | Feb 10, 2022

No you can absolutely enjoy the park also city walk

Susan Earl | Feb 10, 2022

U can have fun with or without

Mohawk Joey | Feb 10, 2022

Not at all, there's plenty to do. Several parades and shows on the streets, Blues Brothers, Singing Frogs, character meets. Horror makeup show is good. There's alot of details everywhere that make it fun no matter what.

Daniel Santiesteban | Feb 10, 2022

No, there are attractions that are not rides.

michael dobrenen | Feb 10, 2022

Most of the time yes. Unless they are having concerts.
