The most crowded seasons are july, december, Halloween and easter, so, yes January is less crowded.

Not to crowded then. If you are looking for less crowded times plan your trip when the kids are in school.we are here now and it is not to bad. It is close to closing and waiting on the light show on the castle!
The sweet spot is end of September to early November. ..January is still pretty busy but it's better than mid july...
Always busy but might be better check local schools for holiday break...and go on week day
Naser - Its hit or miss here because of the popularity of the place. Generally speaking, the time you wish to visit is not peak season so you should be okay.
Check out the Lines app. It gives estimated crowd size throughout the year and can change daily. There's one for Universal and Disney parks.
