Is the cable car running when the restaurant is closed?

Thanks for the replies. As someone who has never been and has only seen photos there is no way of knowing that the cable car cannot be entered at any time of day. I did quite a bit of looking around various sites before posting this question, so @max, I did think about this question before posting this.

Questions like this are absurd because it is the proprietor that makes these decisions and only the proprietor can actually answer them with assbsolute accuracy. Please think about the questions before posting them.
