Is there a parking garage or lot close

There are several parking garages near the USS Constitution Museum, including the Nautica Parking Garage, Constitution Center, and Flagship Wharf Garage. Discounted parking with a validation stamp from the Museum is available for the Nautica Parking Garage.

There is some parking on the streets in the area but nothing closer than 50yds.

Not sure. We usually walk from the T

I walked around that area and up to the Bunker Hill monuments and I do not recall seeing one.
