I had a very bad experience in this place yesterday where the manager were racial profiling me and my mom as thieves. Me and my mom went in the evening to pick up some prescription and also to buy some stuff with the extrabuck we had accrued. We decided to pick up some dove soap. Because the soap is locked up we had to request for help. The manager(I believe he’s the manager because he’s only one without the typical cashier uniforms) took the soap out but did not give the soap to us and instead he offer to leave it at the register for us until we are done with shopping. I was very surprise by this as usually they just give them to us after they took the product out from the locked cabinet, but I thought this is probably a new protocol. However when we reached the check out. The manager wasn’t there. Another cashier was there to help us. He was very confused when we said we still have a product that was being held off at the counter. He even offered to go grab a new one for us from the locked cabinet. But we bumped into the manager and he showed us that the soap was placed at the top shelf behind the counter. In which even the cashier jokingly told him isn’t that just as an easy place for people to grab the item… it didn’t hit me until later that this manager was profiling us and thinking us could potentially steal this product. We were the only customer at that point, we weren’t doing anything suspicious. The only thing we are is being Asians … CVS please do better and stop hiring racist people and stop with the racial profiling

It'll be the Death of you. I came down with very nasty Covid. The State's system for getting a pharmacy order for Paxlovid was great. Unfortunately, I chose this awful CVS location because it was most convenient for my family to get me the medication. CVS simply put the order "on hold" because they don't have Paxlovid, which is absolutely insane, and were apparently never going to tell me. As you know, you need to be dosing with Paxlovid immediately or it's pointless. I had to go there in person (double-masked) to find this out. The staff were as rude and stupid as others have described elsewhere in these Reviews. Against my request, they sent the prescription to another store deep downtown only reachable by public transportation: I pointed out to them that obviously being the patient himself picking up a Paxlovid prescription I had an active infection with an airborne contagious disease and shouldn't be hopping on the T to go downtown, but they didn't give a F___. They should be stripped of every certification to dispense anything, even jelly beans at a penny candy store.

A week ago I went to get two prescriptions; one is out of stock while the other one is IN stock, but would be ready the next day (according to staff)... Five days later, the in-stock RX is still processing with no reasonable explanation. Doesn't make much sense now, does it? It is in-stock, after all... And yes, im still waiting for both RX a week later. And this isn't the first time this has happened... Clearly, this pharmacy is going through serious mismanagement problems. I urge everyone to switch locations.

Store itself is filthy and difficult to navigate. Prices for staples such as milk would make a convenience store blush in shame. Worst pharmacy in the Metro Boston area: common prescription medications are not regularly in stock, staff blames vendors which isn't how it works. Call in a prescription early? Better make it days early and even then, no guarantee. Staff is rude, often non-English-speaking and ignorant. Update: 7/8/2021 Nothing has changed, Pharmacy does not answer phone, requested store manager, 15 minutes on hold to find out Manager has left for the day (3:40 pm), wasn't asked if anyone else could help me. As others have said, many of us are in a "hostage" situation with this being the only pharmacy in Charlestown. A prime example as to why monopolies are bad things. Update 05/15/2021 18 minutes on hold, only to be hung up on when returning a call stating that yet another common medication was out of stock. This pharmacy should be closed down.

Questions & Answers

Is it not the responsibility of the pharmacy to let consumers know if the manufacturer no longer making the medication I have been on, rather than telling me it was out of stock and would be in tomorrow? I would’ve called my doctor a week ago!!!!

Fair question. Sounds like they assumed it was out of stock.. And you know what they say about people assuming things...
