Patriot care was prescription only last time I checked, a week ago so for Patriot, yes, you need a prescription. If you go about 15 miles north to Salem you can get recreational pot, no script, but for Salem be sure to log on to their site and make an appointment. You are best to take commuter rail to Salem then get a shuttle to the dispensary. They don't allow parking to avoid traffic problems. You also should always check online because status changes rapidly. Locations are very prompt about noting if they have recreational so if a site does not say it offers recreational then it doesn't. Lack of notice means lack of service.
