The train has stops between Providence and Boston: S Attleboro, Attleboro, Mansfield, Sharon, Canton Junction, Rte 128 & Hyde Park before stopping at Ruggles, Back Bay then Boston.
Unfortunately, if you want to go to other stations such as Worcester or Cape Cod, you'll have to take the train from Providence to Boston. However, the commuter rail does stop.by communities that are on the way to Boston from Providence, including Attleboro, Sharon, and others.
