Totally free, and if you go in the winter season, there is a live demonstration outside. Beautiful trails, cozy visitors center with a movie to explain the history.
And they are dog friendly!
The walking self tour is interesting & covers some beautiful landscapes! The movie is quite informative & also free. You can try on the soldier's armour in the museum for free as well. The staff is always pleasant and eager to answer questions. No fee to park. There is a gift shop with items for purchase.
No entrance fee but pay attention to the hours for the parking lot and park outside the gates if you're there late in the afternoon. They will lock the gates with your vehicle inside and you'll have to call a number and wait for a sheriff's deputy to come get you out.
