Even if your reservation is not during the time for the fireworks, keep your receipt and you can go back to the restaurant and view the fireworks from the platform. It must be on the same day that you dined.
We booked for 7:30 and the fireworks started as they were servings dessert.
Also check the time for the sunset, it is absolutely beautiful. Then watch the fireworks. I do this all the time when the sunset and the park closing time are not very far apart, say 2 hours. Usually late spring and fall, sometimes summer when the park closes at 9
Check the daily closing time for Magic Kingdom. Whenever the standard close is, that's when the fireworks happen. If the park closes early for a special event then figuring out show time is a little more complicated. Park close varies by season as well; it can be as early as 8 and as late as 11. For the later close times the fireworks could occur before gate close.
We ate early both nights and went back up with our receipt. No guarantee you will be on the correct side of the restaurant. The observation deck was closed the first time we dined because of rain and so everyone jammed on that side of the restaurant i thought fireworks were at 9:30 pm in June
It depends on what time fireworks is for the night. Fireworks are either at 9 or 10p.
We like to get a 9pm reservation. This way we get drinks and an appetizer...watch the fireworks...then come back in and eat dinner. As someone else mentioned, you can go back up to the restaurant to watch the fireworks even if you ate hours earlier. Just show the elevator attendant your receipt.
