I'm not sure of the rates in rehab, My mom is in the assitant living part and is there fulltime. All of the residents in that section. Pay differently it depends on what they receive each month income. . . Medicare takes care of there money, each resident gets $150 for themselves each month, that is how it is determined what there rents is.
I do not know about the rent, but my wife was in the rehab side there. There are some very awesome people working there, but there are more people working there that should never be allowed to work with anyone who needs help. There is a constant aroma of poo, and I saw residents who did nothing all day but sit in a wheelchair in the lobby or hallway. I had to constantly stay on top of my wife's care, and, considering she was out of it alot of the time on pain meds, she would have been ignored even more if left alone. As I said, some people there are pyre gold, and many more are... Not.
The rent is based on a person to person basis for example my wife and I both live in the assisted living facility side of Brentwood Humana a HMO through long-term care Medicaid pays $1,000 per person then they take our social security check all but $54 a piece leaving my wife and I with $108 a month to spend on ourselves. As far as the level of care in the assisted Living side where we reside 90% of the employees here are joyful and helpful and make it a pleasant living experience the other 10% aren't worth mentioning. We are thankful that there are places as nice as Brentwood to facilitate our needs considering our disabilities. there are other assisted living facilities in the area like Crystal gym that are totally neglectful and in my opinion liable in a lot of ways, so overall Brentwood gets two thumbs up.
I believe it starts at $3000.00 I saw a stark contrast between the first & second time my Mom was there. The first time it was wonderful all the way around. The second time wasn't even half as well run as the first time
