Ina, both previous answers are correct. I am the taxi monitor for paratransit. The number on the back of your card can be a bit tricky so you should call it from a land line in a quiet location. Taxi drivers can tell you your balance up to 75.00. Finance, or customer service, will be able to tell you the exact balance as well as the amount in your reserve, if any. Also, we now accept credit or debit card payments over the phone!
On your ID Transit card on the back you can call and it will guide you to more then just balance, when you make your purchase date, balance of the card.
You can call the finance department at 1415 351 7051. They will be able to give you the balance of your account. Or you can check with most taxis around the city to run your card for a balance
