just ask for food option without MSG upfront.
All Asian restaurants that uses soy sauce in their marinade has MSG in it. The only thing you can ask is for them not to add any in the cooking process. It will be on the bland side if not used

They do. Some of their food are marinated with MSG so opting out may not be an option

I believed all chinese food use some MSG ..you could ask for no MSG.
