I apologize ahead of time for the long post but I felt it was important and needed to be said. The other day I was in the store picking up a couple last minute items. It just so happened that my car was in the shop so I was dropped off at the store and being picked up by a friend so I had brought a duffel bag into the store with me filled with donations from my family that I was taking to my church and I just needed to pick up a few boxes of 5-Hour energies to get through the work week since I was waiting to be picked up by my friend in the parking lot of their store anyways. As I was walking down one of the aisles I noticed a male employee sped up from behind me and started walking next to me. Shortly after a female employee ran past my cart grabbing my duffel bag out of my car and sprinting to the end of the aisle while opening my bag and pulling items out to see if I had stolen anything. I asked her to hand me my bag and my personal items back and pointed out that only one of the five items she had pulled we're even available for sale in her store! She refused! I was absolutely embarrassed and appalled. Once I made them aware of the fact that the makeup items she had in her hand that my girlfriend had donated weren't even available for sale in her store she still proceeded to hold on to my duffle bag and my items. I kept saying look at your cameras I haven't taken a thing I don't steal period and I definitely haven't taken anything from your store but they would not listen. I went to leave the store and five employees blocked my exit. An argument ensued as they continue to block the exit and hold on to my items loud enough for the entire store to hear which was incredibly embarrassing. I turned away from that exit and went to use the other exit to step outside and call the police and I'm not sure what happened but the female employee came up to me and handed me back my items didn't apologize didn't say a word and just walked away. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at any store I've ever been to. I will never be back I will recommend that no one for my church group ever comes back and anybody who reads this should shop anywhere else other than this Lucky's. Sorry to be long-winded but I felt like this needed to be shared with any potential customers.

I went to refill my 5gal jugs. I have it 4 stars because this place is more expensive compared to the 1 i go to in San Mateo. It was convenient for me though.

If you want to go back to a simpler time, when Clinton was in office and the biggest debate was N'Sync or Backstreet Boys, visit this Lucky's. The products and brands will generally be in stock, even if you havent found them for years. This place was a blast from the past, in a good way.

This is a nice store overall, especially if you shop the sales. The prices tend to run higher than Safeway otherwise, but the produce can be nicer. They also have digital coupons you can download. The people are friendly and helpful, but the store is a bit under staffed, so finding someone can be a challenge. I shop there fairly regularly.
