You can also return with less than you picked it up with and not prepay. They charge you more per gallon to refuel ($4.15 when I last checked, vs. $3.something prepaid).

Currently you can just match the gas you received the car at or go with our prepay option at 3.69 a gallon. You pay for whatever is left in the tank but you can bring it back empty. It's best for one way trips. You can also pay by the gallon for whatever is missing but it's a little more pricey than prepay at 4.15 a gallon.

You have options, you can either prepay for fuel, or return it with the same amount it had when you picked the car up.
