Day hikes, several trail heads have free parking. The picnic area at Redwoods regional park has a per car fee which was about $5, or free to Regional Parks Foundation members. Annual fee is about$70, but gets you effectively 2 free vehicles per visit.

Overnight is $25. $35 if you want hook up station. Plus 8$ for each vehicle. More for RV.
