What Matt mentioned is literally "water boiled fish", it is the famous one but very oily, the "water" is actually oil. Fish is cooked by hot spicy oil. So don't think it as soup, it is not, don't drink it.

I have no idea what it was called, but it was a dish of fish, almost a soup. Large bowl kinda spicy. Our host ordered in Chinese, and i just went with the order.
