Rachel's right, you need to cross Gulf Blvd to get to the ocean. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in IRB. The closest dog beach is on the mainland side of the Belleair Bridge, which is less than 10 minutes north of the IRB dog park.

You need to walk across the street. Don't think dogs are allowed on the beach though.
